– GE CAPITAL: Innovative Technology Developer + Career Builder

LPP began working with GE Capital’s IT organization in early 2014 to promote its large group of global CIOs. The team’s goal was to not only position GE’s CIOs as technology innovators, but also leaders of an excellent organization where the best and brightest IT minds should build their careers.  LPP’s strategy was to promote the innovative ways the company uses IT for GE Capital itself and for the mid-market customers they serve around the world, as well as the collaborative ways they encourage innovation within their IT teams, such as via live and virtual Innovation Labs. Backed by the mantra “builders not bankers,” LPP interviewed dozens of GE CIOs managing IT teams that support either internal initiatives or customer programs around the world. From there, the team built Point-of-View (POV) pitches and conducted Executive Storytelling Workshops to prepare these new spokespeople to weigh in on hot topics – including agile development, cloud computing and the best ways to attract and manage high performing IT organizations.

Since January of 2014, LPP’s program has generated nine quality pieces of coverage, three of which appeared in one of the team’s prime targets – The Wall Street Journal CIO Journal.  The program also placed Sigal Zarmi, CIO for the Americas, as the keynote speaker for CIO Perspectives in New York (April 2014). The keynote was well received and led to a spike in social media mentions and retweets for GE overall, as well as several video and live interview opportunities with a tier one publication, CIO Magazine. LPP’s PR efforts continue to gain momentum for GE Capital.
