Administrative Assistant - Austin, TX

If you want to work in a fast-paced and fun environment, there’s no better place than LPP.  In fact, if you read some of the bios of our staff, you’ll see that many have been with us for years.  Our Administrative Assistant role has you jumping right into the action supporting our Austin SVP, and the rest of the team, with many important tasks that keep our office running smoothly.  Acting as our front desk support, you’ll be the first person our clients and visitors see when arriving at the office.  In addition to answering the main phone line, you’ll process and track internal paperwork (purchase orders, expense reports, HR paperwork), maintain office supplies, and help our SVP and managers with various research projects.  Our goal is to bring on an individual who will help foster our team-oriented culture, taking responsibility for scheduling events and activities in the office.  This person will also act as a liaison to the Boston, MA corporate office, which includes regular interaction with Finance, IT and other teams on requests.

If you ask our staff what the formula for success is at LPP, they will tell you that above all, you must bring an upbeat attitude and passion to everything you do, combined with an understanding that “the devil is in the details.”  The ideal candidate will have strong PowerPoint skills to provide assistance with new business, marketing and client presentations.  If the description fits you and you bring great written and verbal communication skills, a can-do attitude, strong multi-tasking skills and, ideally, six months to a year of experience, then this might be the position for you.   Requires a degree from a two or four year program.

So, what do you think? If you think you should be our next hire for this position, please send your resume with a cover letter explaining why you would be a great fit to: careers@lpp.com. Please include "Administrative Assistant" in the subject line.

PR Intern – Boston, MA

If you want to learn PR, there’s no better place to start than as an Intern at LPP.  In fact, if you read some of the bios of our staff, you’ll see that many of them really developed their passion for PR as an intern.  Our Interns learn by doing, not making copies or running for coffee.  They jump right into the action, with training and mentoring, and immediately begin supporting teams on great accounts to help with the many important tasks that make up bulletproof client service – like editing, proofing and overseeing distribution of press releases; building and maintaining the right focused list of editorial contacts; mining key publications for story ideas and trends; and collecting and packaging the teams’ great results for our clients. Our managers closely watch our Interns’ progress, rewarding hard working and successful Interns with a conversion to an Associate Account Representative role, a regular full-time position with a complete benefits package.

If you ask other interns (or our staff who got their start as an intern) what the formula for success is at LPP they’ll tell you that above all you must bring energy and passion for learning new things, combined with an understanding that in PR “the devil is in the details.”  That combination drives great PR results.  If the description fits you and you bring good written and verbal communication skills, a can-do attitude, and, ideally, at least three years toward a Bachelor’s degree in PR, communications or a related field, we want to meet you.

So, what do you think? If you think you should be the next LPP intern, please send your resume with a cover letter explaining why you would be a great fit to: careers@lpp.com. Please include "PR Intern" in the subject line.
