Carol HankoCarol moved to Austin in 2001 from the Bay Area and has been overseeing LPP’s Austin office since 2004. She worked in technology in San Francisco, then moved to Austin for the sunshine, music and Mexican food. A few years out of college, she realized her childhood dream to become a reporter. But as PR people started calling her every day, she realized she wanted their job and knew she could do it better than they did. She has always been a big fan of the news cycle and loves having a job tied to it. No matter how complicated the technology, Carol is good at making it relevant to the media, transforming clean room static control technology into a national business story and even convincing Good Housekeeping and Playboy to care about processors. Growing up in Oregon exposed her early to environmentalism, so she’s been having fun growing LPP’s clean tech portfolio and working with what’s next, such as carbon capture, alternative fuels and new internal combustion engines.
"Getting real matters. Helping to align reality with reputation is key. This I consider very compelling. The time our team spends getting to know us is commendable." - LPP Client
"You have to understand the value of PR to appreciate the value of LPP. So I think this idea is meaningful to those who really appreciate the work it takes to align the right message for the right medium at the right time." – LPP Client
