As a former technology journalist, Lois co-founded LPP in 1986 as a new kind of agency that would serve as an informed resource – almost a “news bureau” – for the influencers and a strategic partner and advisor for her clients. LPP is a positive, people-oriented place to work where you can learn from the best.
As the leader of LPP, Lois oversees all areas within the agency, personally managing a small number of accounts directly and providing strategic counsel, as needed, to all LPP clients. Clients often look to Lois for help with repositioning, crisis communications and major event planning. Lois personally leads LPP’s Executive Storytelling Services personally, including spokesperson and presentation coaching and workshops. Lois has trained or coached hundreds of CEOs and top executive spokespeople over the years and has shared best practices about executive storytelling and presentation skills over the years.
Lois is an active proponent of social media and has been featured as one of the “CEOs who Twitter.” A former journalist who loves to write and is a self-proclaimed “fastest editor on the planet,” she frequently helps create or shape client contributed content and lends her pen regularly to the agency’s own Beyond The Hype blog. She has been a regular contributor to communications publications, including O’Dwyer’s Public Relations News, PR News and PR Week.
Lois was named a Distinguished Alumna by her alma mater, Temple University’s School of Communications and Theater, which honors influential journalists and communicators.
Prior to founding LPP, Lois was an editor at two leading technology publications. She helped launch eWeek (PC Week) and was a Software Editor at Computerworld.
Lois received her B.A. in journalism, summa cum laude, from Temple University and an M.S. in computer information systems from Bentley College. She has served on the Advisory Board of the DEMO conference and as the co-chair of the communications committee for the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council.
