We have completed yet another edition of this project. This time, we invited 16 participants, beneficiaries of the Gdańsk Social Innovation Foundation, the Rodzinny Gdańsk Foundation and the Atalaya Foundation, who gained their first professional experience during summer holidays in Tri-City and Warsaw.
Meet some of the participants of the 2018 edition:

A secondary school student with special interest in chemistry and biology. His goal is to become a physiotherapist. He has a great sense of humour – stand-up performances give him a chance to relax from daily chores. He reads of lot of fantasy books, with Wiedźmin being his favourite series. In the First Fitting project, he gains new experience and skills, learning how to work in a team and with customers.

A friendly 16-year old teenager. She very quickly makes new friends and loves to hang out. During leisure time, she likes going to football matches and spending time in social media. She likes working with people and learns to work in a team. In the First Fitting project, she wants to gain new experience in the fashion world.

Although he seems to be quiet, shy and not very talkative, Krystian becomes, in an extraordinary way, a leader of any group, whether Polish or, for example, Portuguese. He reads a lot of books, likes history and thinks of becoming a lawyer. For Krystian, the First Fitting project was a nice experience – he has learned how to provide customer services properly and had a very well-tuned team he really liked.

A girl with an artistic soul. All her free time is devoted to music – at home, while travelling, whenever possible. She has learnt to play the ukulele by herself and she plans to learn to play the violin. She is interested in acting and, in the future, she wants to become a stage actress. She has already started taking her first steps in acting in MOST. Besides music and acting, she finds time to read valuable books. In the future, Kamila would like to be an actress and work with children and young people, giving them English lessons. Working in a Reserved store, she became more self-confident, with team work being her favourite part of the job.

A creative and friendly 16-year old teenager who has a great sense of humour and likes challenges. Painting and music are his greatest hobbies. He is an art blogger. The fashion world has no secrets for him. David has chosen his own well-though-of style in line with modern fashion trends. In his free time, David likes meeting friends and playing computer games. In the First Fitting project, he gains experience in work that is close to his fashion hobby, learns to be a reliable person and takes his first steps to become financially independent.

She is this year’s graduate of a gymnasium. In September, she will continue her education and start her professional training. She loves music and dancing and she is interested in fashion and latest trends. Justyna is full of energy and, when motivated, she is able to literally move mountains. She appreciates staying in contact with people – she know that this is how you gain experience. Owing to the First Fitting project, work in a Reserved brand store made her dream come true.

A joyful and communicative 17-year old teenager. Since September, he has been a student of a photography and multimedia secondary school. Marcel is interested in photography and its processing. He loves spending time actively and wander in the mountains taking pictures. He loves music and extreme sports, with basketball being his favourite sports.

As every sportswoman, she is very ambitious, knows her worth, plays fair, knows how to fight for herself and knows that, working hard, you may get what you want. In the project, she has learnt how to operate a cash register and other tools, has definitely improved her communicative skills and has become more self-confident. She likes her team at work a lot.

An open and energetic 17-year old teenager, not afraid of saying what she thinks. She knows how to fight for herself. Patrycja likes sports activities and easily makes new friends. She is ready to help others and full of empathy. In the future, she would like to work in uniformed services and wants to continue her education following this profile. Owing to the First Fitting project, Patrycja is able to take her first steps on the job market, she wants to gain new experience, meet interesting people and earn money to fulfil her dreams.

Being a very friendly and empathic person with a great sense of humour, she is ready to help everyone in need. She always knows what she thinks and says it out loud! In her free time, she tries to write a book. During the project, she liked the atmosphere among employees and was happy to improve her interpersonal skills.

Meet 11 participants of the pilot programme implemented in Reserved stores in Tri-City in 2017.

Gabriela loves animals and natural environment. She likes meeting new people and visiting new places – she dreams of long travels to different parts of the world. She knows a lot about the fashion world – she is keen on playing with different styles depending on her mood. In the First Fitting project, she gains new skills and her first professional experience, along with financial independence.

Michael, a high and fair-hair young man, is a go-getter. He has a great sense of humour, easily makes new friends and likes to hang out. He is keen on sports and car mechanics. Michael likes spending time with his friends and is active in social media. He likes working with people. Michel applied to take part in the First Fitting project to gain his first professional experience working with people – both with his team and customers of retail stores.

A hip-hop lover writing his own music. A friendly and resolute young man who appreciates being independent and likes fashion, especially in the skate style. He devotes his leisure time to skateboarding and likes watching documentaries. At work, he would like to gain new skills and learn how to work with people.

Sandra is an energetic and joyful 18-year old young woman. She is keen on animals, mainly horses. She loves spending time with, and taking care of, horses. She has also a large group of friends and spends free time with them. The work in the project will help her gain new skills and professional experience and, first of all, fulfil her dreams and pursue her passions.

A 17-year old teenager with an entrepreneurial gene. He loves sailing and tourism and is keen on cooking and football. Sebastian easily makes new friends. He is calm and brave. In his work, he focuses on both new experience and facing new challenges.

A devoted and caring mum of two. She likes helping others. In her short spare time, she likes watching TV and taking walks. She wanted to become a hair stylist, yet today she is looking for new types of experience. Owing to the in the First Fitting project, she learns how to communicate with customers and gains new skills.

He is dreaming of becoming a rapper. In his spare time, he writes his own texts and takes part in acting and music workshops. He is very friendly and not afraid of new situations. While working in Reserved brand stores, he was surprised that he had to communicate on a constant basis both with customers and team members. As regards fashion, he likes styles designed for your people.

A sincere, open and energetic16-year old teenager. She likes hanging out with friends, going to movies and jogging. She is eager to help people facing difficulties. Agnieszka is keen on cooking and likes comedy books. In the future, she would like to work with children. She appreciates gaining new experience in the First Fitting project and the possibility of testing herself as employee.

Oskar describes himself as a Renaissance man. He is interested in science, music, cinema, literature and floristry. He engages himself in artistic craftwork and he likes antiques. Oskar has an artistic sense and an eye for colours. He surrounds himself with beautiful items, arranging the interior. In the First Fitting project, he would like to gain new skills and he is dreaming of becoming a visual merchandiser.

A self-confident and restless 17-year old teenager. Sports is his passion. He spends his free time in the gym and likes playing football. Mateusz pays special attention to healthy food, which, together with regular trainings, helps him shape a well-trained body. He is also interested in the automotive industry. In the First Fitting project, he wants to gain experience in customer service and new skills, learn about employee-employer relations and earn money to pursue his hobbies.

A 17-year old teenager studying at a secondary school. He is interested in movies, including art-house cinema. He likes reading books, especially Scandinavian crime stories. Damian enjoys gaining new culinary experience. In his spare time, he draws pictures and goes to the gym. He decided to take part in the First Fitting project as he wanted to gain professional experience and learn to work in a team.
