Gdańsk Mental Health Month – the LPP Foundation co-organised the event

The first edition of Gdańsk Mental Health Month is now behind us. From 10 September to 10 October, Gdańsk was a space for discussions about emotions, relationships and mental health prevention.

The event was initiated by the Gdańsk City Council, co-created by the LPP Foundation, and partnered by the ‘Terapia to NIE wstyd’ (Therapy is NOT shameful) Foundation along with numerous non-governmental organisations.

Gdańsk Mental Health Month aimed to raise awareness among residents about the importance of mental health and to promote activities that support mental well-being.

Gdańsk Mental Health Month in numbers

As part of the campaign, 63 events were held – both in person and online. They were organised by 35 partners. Nearly 11,000 people took part in all the events of Gdańsk Mental Health Month.

In turn, the podcasts and webinars prepared as part of the initiative reached over 30,000 recipients.

The special role of the LPP Foundation and a key event

The LPP Foundation played an important role in organising Gdańsk Mental Health Month.

Thanks to its cooperation with partners, a number of initiatives were prepared for children, young people, parents and those who support young people in their everyday lives.

Among the most important events organised as part of Gdańsk Mental Health Month, it is worth mentioning the two-day meeting ‘You know you can always call me? – Łukasz Bogusławski together with the LPP Foundation and the Youth Helpline’.

The event attracted over 200 participants to the Plenum in Gdańsk. It promoted the idea of openness, seeking help in times of crisis and introduced the activities of the Youth Helpline – a project of the ITAKA Foundation, initiated by the Reserved brand and financially supported by the LPP Foundation.

Gdańsk Mental Health Month culminated in Przystanek MŁODZIEŻ (Youth Stop), prepared with the young residents of Gdańsk in mind.

The event consisted of workshops and lectures on topics such as mental health prevention, emotions and developing passions, which attracted as many as 400 students.

The finale of Przystanek MŁODZIEŻ was a presentation of the results of the young people’s joint work during the workshops. It showcased the creativity, energy and commitment of the participants.
