Youth Helpline – a partnership between HBO, the LPP Foundation, the ITAKA Foundation and the Reserved brand

The LPP Foundation, which finances the Youth Helpline, supports activities accompanying the premiere of the HBO Original series ‘Niebo. Rok w piekle’ (Heaven. A Year in Hell). Thanks to this initiative, the topic of helping young people will gain additional publicity.
The production depicts the struggles of young people with feelings of confusion, manipulation and the need for acceptance.
These are some of the issues that the LPP Foundation has been addressing for years in its social activities. The series is scheduled to premiere on 26 December on HBO Max.
‘Niebo. Rok w piekle’ – plot outline
The series tells the story of Sebastian (Stanisław Linowski), a young man lost in his choices, who finds himself under the wing of a charismatic guru (Tomasz Kot) leading the spiritual community ‘Niebo’ (Heaven).
What was supposed to be an innocent commune quickly turns out to be a place based on a brutal system of violence, manipulation and fanaticism. The production is inspired by real events.
The LPP Foundation’s perspective – the series and helping young people
The HBO Max series may prove to be an important step in drawing attention to the mental health issues of young people.
At the same time, from the perspective of the LPP Foundation, it is a good way to popularise the activities of the Youth Helpline – a tool that helps children, teenagers and young adults every day.
What is the Youth Helpline?
The Youth Helpline (+48 22 484 88 04) is a mental health support line established in 2021 by the ITAKA Foundation and the Reserved brand.
Since 2023, the line has been fully funded by the LPP Foundation.
The project is a response to the growing needs of children, teenagers and young adults up to the age of 25 who are looking for safe and professional support in the face of emotional crises, including relationship problems, everyday pressures and difficulties in dealing with their feelings.
The Youth Helpline operates 7 days a week. It offers young people the opportunity to talk to psychologists, but also to lawyers, sexologists and eating disorder therapists.
Depending on their needs and life situation, they will receive help from the appropriate specialist.
Online consultations are also available – they have been designed for people who feel more comfortable talking on video and need immediate support.
Youth Helpline – what do the numbers say?
To date, Youth Helpline specialists have conducted over 25,000 telephone conversations, over 3,100 online chat conversations and nearly 2,000 consultations with psychologists.
These figures clearly show the scale of the demand for reliable help and how many young people decide to seek professional support.
