Gdańsk Mental Health Month
Gdańsk Mental Health Month is an initiative of the City of Gdańsk and the LPP Foundation aimed at raising awareness among Gdańsk residents about the importance of mental health and promoting activities that support mental wellbeing.
The initiative begins on 10 September, World Suicide Prevention Day, and ends on 10 October, World Mental Health Day.

Why are we doing this?
Mental health prevention is one of the greatest challenges we face in today's world.
For several years now, the LPP Foundation has been focusing its activities in this area. Cooperation with local authorities, institutions and non-governmental organisations allows us to respond effectively to the problems and needs of children and young people.

How does the project work?
During Gdańsk Mental Health Month, educational campaigns, workshops, webinars and events are organised to encourage open discussion about emotions, stress, depression and the challenges of parenthood. It is also an opportunity to remind people that taking care of their mental health is just as important as taking care of their physical health.
The LPP Foundation supports the project by financing webinars organised by the ITAKA Foundation and by organising an event for young people at Plenum in Gdańsk, with the participation of the Reserved brand, the Youth Helpline and the well-known influencer Łukasz Bogusławski.

The culmination of our commitment is the organisation of a meeting for young people from Gdańsk schools at the Polsat Plus Arena stadium.
The event will feature workshops on building mental resilience and a sense of security in today's world. The meeting will be hosted by the Pozytywni Foundation.
The event will include a "Welcome Home" stop. The project aims to support young people by showing them new opportunities for development and passion.

Participants have the opportunity to learn the basics of DJing, street art, ballet dancing and rapping.
In addition to inspiring young people with new passions, the project also focuses on mental wellbeing.
During the ‘Welcome Home’ stop, young people participate in workshops on self-esteem and learn about digital hygiene.

Who is implementing the project?
Gdańsk Mental Health Month is the result of many months of cooperation between representatives of the City of Gdańsk, the LPP Foundation and Pomeranian non-governmental organisations.
On the city's side, the project is being implemented by the Department of Social Development.
