YOUTH Stop. The LPP Foundation is organising an event for young people

The LPP Foundation, together with the Hospice Foundation, the Pozytywni Foundation, the RC Foundation and the ‘Witaj w domu’ Association, invites you to an event on the mental health of children and teenagers.
The event programme includes meetings and workshops, all focusing on the mental health of young people.
Youth Stop is an event addressed to 7th and 8th grade students from primary and secondary schools in Gdańsk. It is worth noting that one of the events has been prepared with teachers in mind.
POZYTYWNI Foundation meeting
During YOUTH Stop (Przystanek MŁODZIEŻ), a meeting entitled ‘My emotions. My relationships. My world’ will be held.
During the meeting, participants will have the opportunity to look at their emotions and the relationships that shape them.
In a safe space filled with kindness and understanding, young people will have the opportunity to exchange experiences, ask questions and learn about coaching strategies that support their mental well-being.
The meeting will be led by the POZYTYWNI Foundation.
‘Welcome Home’ and other workshops
During YOUTH Stop, there will also be a ‘Welcome Home’ Stop. The project aims to support young people by showing them new opportunities for development and passion.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn the basics of DJing, street art, dance and rap.
In addition to awakening new passions in young people, the project also focuses on caring for their mental well-being.
During the ‘Welcome Home’ stop, young people will also have the opportunity to participate in workshops on emotions and digital hygiene.
These will be led by specialists from the ‘Dbam o mój zasięg’ Foundation..
Workshops for young people and teachers
Another workshop as part of the YOUTH Stop is ‘TABOO TOPIC – loss, life and ME’. . These are collage classes led by specialists from the Hospice Foundation.
The theme of the workshop will be loss – of dreams, friendships, pets, loved ones or other things. Participants will create a joint artistic collage showing different perspectives of self-expression.
During the YOUTH Stop, there will also be workshops for teachers, led by Tamara Kasprzyk, President of the Familylab Polska Foundation. The topic of the classes will be building self-esteem.
During the meeting, teachers will learn, among other things:
- how to support children’s self-esteem;
- how not to cross the line between constructively accompanying a child and spoiling them;
- how to distinguish between self-esteem and self-confidence;
- how to formulate messages that provide children with information about themselves;
- what in everyday life can help us take care of ourselves in this area.
The YOUTH Stop will take place on 10 October, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (reception open from 8:00 a.m.), at the Polsat Plus Arena Gdańsk stadium, ul. Pokoleń Lechii Gdańsk 1.
