LPP Foundation is a partner in the publication of a book on men’s mental health titled “Boys don’t cry, boys jump out of windows”

The LPP Foundation has partnered with the book “Boys don’t cry, boys jump out of windows: a life-saving guide” by Marcin Dybuk, creator of the podcast “Journey to manhood”. The book addresses men’s mental health, including crises, depression, and the need to seek support. It is one of the first books in Poland to be so candid and comprehensive in its exploration of men’s mental health.
Men’s mental health – a topic still rarely discussed
Although the mental health crisis is increasingly being discussed in Poland, men’s mental well-being remains a taboo subject. Social expectations, stereotypes about masculinity, and a lack of space to talk about emotions mean that many men do not seek help in times of crisis. This leads to the escalation of problems that could have been identified and addressed much earlier.
The LPP foundation’s work to promote mental health and break down stereotypes
In response to these challenges, the LPP Foundation supports initiatives related to mental health prevention – including projects that help to better understand emotions and crises among children, adolescents, and adults who support young people on a daily basis. The partnership for the publication of Marcin Dybuk’s book is part of this initiative.
The book “Boys don’t cry, boys jump out of windows” – on crises and support for men
The author combines his own experiences with stories of men facing depression, addiction, and life crises, as well as conversations with mental health experts. The book highlights the importance of creating spaces to talk about emotions, ask for help, and raise awareness about men’s crises.
Men’s mental health – an important social issue
“Boys don’t cry, boys jump out of windows” is not only a life-saving guide but also a publication that opens a discussion on how to support men during difficult times and how to break down stereotypes about emotions. The LPP Foundation’s partnership in this project aligns with its mission of mental health prevention and raising public awareness about mental well-being.
