LPP Logistics is launching a new distribution centre in Romania. The facility will support the LPP Group’s expansion in South-Eastern Europe

LPP Logistics is expanding its operational capabilities in South-Eastern Europe by launching a distribution centre near Bucharest. The 56,000 m² facility has begun serving the LPP Group’s stores in Romania, Bulgaria and Greece, enhancing the efficiency of the regional supply chain. The warehouse, with a capacity of approximately 35 million items, has been designed with further expansion in mind and will support the growth of the Sinsay brand and the LPP Group’s operations in the region.

The investment strengthens LPP Logistics’ logistics infrastructure in South-East Europe. Thanks to its strategic location near Bucharest, adjacent to the fulfilment centre launched in November 2025, the company can handle both deliveries to high-street stores and online orders from a single location. An additional advantage of the location is its proximity to the port of Constanța, which streamlines the organisation of deliveries by sea. The launch of the new centre also marks the culmination of the reconstruction of the logistics infrastructure following last year’s warehouse fire.

– The launch of the new distribution centre within just one year of the previous warehouse being decommissioned demonstrates LPP Logistics’ operational efficiency and our team’s ability to rapidly rebuild infrastructure that is key to business continuity. Importantly, we have not limited ourselves to restoring our previous capabilities, but have launched a modern facility prepared for the further expansion of the LPP Group, in particular the Sinsay brand. We are already able to serve over 450 stores simultaneously, and following the planned expansion, we will double this capacity. This provides a solid foundation for the continued growth of our brands in the region – notes Sebastian Sołtys, CEO of LPP Logistics.

The new facility is a key component of LPP Logistics’ logistics infrastructure in South-East Europe. Locating warehouses closer to sales markets helps to shorten delivery routes, increase operational flexibility and respond more effectively to the needs of the expanding network of stores. The centre will support the LPP Group’s operations in Southern European markets.

Centre prepared for a growing number of deliveries

In the first phase of operations, the facility has been equipped with automated systems enabling the simultaneous preparation of deliveries for 454 stores. A further expansion of the warehouse infrastructure, planned for early 2027, will enable the centre to serve 900 stores. By the end of the year, the new distribution centre will employ over 300 people, and this figure will rise further as the centre expands next year.

– The speed at which the new centre was brought online was made possible primarily thanks to our team’s experience. Many of the staff who previously formed part of LPP Logistics’ operations in Romania are now responsible for the start-up of the new facility. This has enabled us to reach successive milestones very quickly and to roll out further processes efficiently. At the same time, from the outset we designed the organisation of work with a view to even greater operational efficiency and readiness for further growth in volumes – says Sebastian Lutas, Acting DC Director.

A building with an A-class energy certificate

The building’s design incorporates solutions to minimise resource consumption and the environmental impact of warehouse operations, including a greywater recovery system, energy-efficient LED lighting, and water and air treatment systems. The building is also equipped with systems for the separation of petroleum-derived substances, and its design ensures that 3.5% of the lighting is provided by natural light. The centre holds an A-class energy performance certificate and is undergoing BREEAM certification at the ‘Outstanding’ level.
