LPP supports the “Stay One Step Ahead of Cancer” awareness and prevention campaign

With cancer incidence rising in Poland and the value of preventive screening still not sufficiently recognised by the public, the LPP Foundation, a long-standing supporter of healthcare projects, has partnered with the “Stay One Step Ahead of Cancer” educational campaign. The campaign aims to increase public awareness of the importance of preventive healthcare and regular screening. Sinsay will also become involved in the initiative, using its communication channels to share trustworthy health information with a wider audience. As part of the partnership, Sinsay will produce the “Time for Health” podcast, which will focus on overcoming fears surrounding medical tests and supporting loved ones through illness.
Cancer is the second leading cause of death in Poland, accounting for approximately one in four deaths.1 Despite the scale of the problem, many people in Poland continue to postpone preventive screening, although early detection considerably increases the likelihood of successful treatment. Ministry of Health figures show that, depending on the type of screening, only about 13-32% of eligible people take up the free screening tests available.
These figures highlight the importance of bringing different groups together to promote health education and encourage people to undergo regular screening. Against this background, the LPP Foundation, which regards healthcare as one of its main areas of community engagement, has joined the “Stay One Step Ahead of Cancer” campaign.
– The high number of cancer cases and the continued low uptake of screening demonstrate that prevention requires sustained and consistent health education. This means not only providing trustworthy information, but also regularly reminding people about screening
and helping to ease the concerns that often surround it. Our participation in the “Stay One Step Ahead of Cancer” campaign is a natural continuation of the LPP Foundation’s many years of work in healthcare. By bringing together our experience, Sinsay’s communication capabilities and the knowledge of the experts involved in the campaign, we can engage new audiences more effectively, encourage them to undergo regular screening and reinforce the work being carried out by the campaign organisers – says Patrycja Zbytniewska, President of the LPP Foundation.
The LPP Foundation has long supported healthcare facilities, non-governmental organisations, patients and their families. Its partners include Fundacja z Pompą – Pomóż Dzieciom z Białaczką, a foundation supporting children with cancer. By partnering with the “Stay One Step Ahead of Cancer” campaign, the LPP Foundation will be able to broaden its existing support for patients by adding prevention and education initiatives aimed at people who are currently healthy. These activities will be carried out in partnership with the Wyprzedzić Raka Association.
Sinsay expands its “Making Time” project to cover health-related topics
One of the first initiatives under the partnership will be Sinsay’s “Time for Health” podcast. The podcast is a special edition of “Making Time”, a long-running series devoted to family, relationships and raising children.
– With the demands of everyday life, preventive checks can easily be postponed. In cancer prevention, however, time is crucial. This is why we are expanding our ‘Making Time’ series, already familiar to our customers, with a new series of accessible, practical conversations about health that are closely connected to our audience’s everyday experiences. The community built around the project enables us to reach young women and families and encourage them to make regular screening a natural part of looking after both themselves and those close to them – says Marta Fijał, Brand Manager at Sinsay.
The new series will explore cancer prevention, healthy lifestyles and ways of overcoming anxiety about being diagnosed. It will also look at everyday life following a diagnosis and how best to support loved ones – without putting pressure on them, projecting one’s own emotions onto them or offering unsolicited advice.
The podcast will be hosted by Professor Wojciech Rogowski and his daughter, Aleksandra Rogowska-Lichnerowicz, both of whom are actively engaged in cancer prevention through the “Stay One Step Ahead of Cancer” Association. By bringing together medical expertise and a younger generation’s perspective, the series will explain complex health issues in a clear and accessible way.
– In cancer prevention, knowledge alone is not enough. What matters is taking practical action: arranging a screening appointment, attending it and continuing to be screened regularly. Early detection can greatly improve the prospects of successful treatment. This is why cancer should be discussed without causing fear, but in a clear and responsible way, while showing people what practical steps they can take to look after their health – says Professor Wojciech Rogowski, oncologist, founder of the “Stay One Step Ahead of Cancer” campaign and co-host of the podcast.
The “Time for Health” podcast is available on Sinsay’s YouTube channel and on Spotify, and new episodes will be published in the months ahead. Its reach will be further supported by the brand’s wider digital ecosystem, including newsletters, push notifications, social media and links to the podcast in the Sinsay app.
