The LPP Foundation is a partner of the second edition of Gdańsk Mental Health Month

The LPP Foundation is participating in Gdańsk Mental Health Month for the second time. The initiative runs from September 10—World Suicide Prevention Day—through October 10, 2026, which marks World Mental Health Day. As part of the program, free educational events, workshops, and meetings are held, focused on mental health prevention and supporting the well-being of residents.

The Second Edition of Gdańsk Mental Health Month

The project is coordinated by the City of Gdańsk in collaboration with community organizations, institutions, and business partners. These joint efforts aim to raise public awareness, promote mental health prevention, and facilitate residents’ access to information and various forms of support. The first edition of Gdańsk Mental Health Month attracted nearly 11,000 participants, while podcasts and webinars reached over 30,000 more people. As part of the initiative, 35 partners organized 63 events.

Mental Health of Children and Adolescents

The LPP Foundation has developed initiatives aimed at children, adolescents, parents, guardians, and teachers. One of the main themes of this year’s edition is a healthy relationship with food and the communicative underpinnings of modern eating disorders. The program also includes topics related to self-esteem, the impact of social media on the mental well-being of young people, cyberbullying, online hate, and building mental resilience.

One of the key partners in the LPP Foundation’s initiatives is the Youth Helpline—a joint initiative of the ITAKA Foundation, the Reserved brand, and the LPP Foundation.

Youth Mental Health—Meetings, Webinars, and Workshops

On September 18, a webinar for parents, guardians, and teachers titled “The Epidemic of Comparisons: The Communicative Basis of Modern Eating Disorders” will take place. The session will focus on the impact of modern communication on self-perception and one’s relationship with food.
A meeting for young people titled “Likes, Pressure, and Emotions: How to Be Yourself in the (Not-So-)Perfect World of Social Media?” is scheduled for September 24. It will explore the impact of social media on young people’s emotions, self-esteem, and mental well-being.

On October 7, the Gdańsk Mental Health Center will host a conference for teachers on peer violence. The LPP Foundation’s involvement also includes organizing workshops for students on cyberbullying and online hate speech, led by the Dbam o Mój Zasięg Foundation

The LPP Foundation works to promote mental resilience among children and adolescents

The LPP Foundation’s involvement in Gdańsk Mental Health Month is part of its efforts to promote the mental health of children and youth. For years, the Foundation has been implementing projects that support the development of mental resilience, self-esteem, and healthy social relationships.

Collaboration between local government, community organizations, institutions, and the business sector allows for a more effective response to residents’ needs and helps develop a local support system that can serve as an inspiration for other cities and organizations. Gdańsk Mental Health Month also demonstrates that prevention, education, and early intervention in mental health challenges require the involvement of various sectors of society.
