LPP History

LPP History

We are a Polish clothing manufacturer. Our history dates back to 1991. For over three decades we have built a company that is currently one of the most dynamically developing clothing companies in the region of Central and Eastern Europe. We create added value for the Polish economy, and at the same time we consistently invest in the development of local entrepreneurship. Through our activity in nearly 40 markets around the world, we have been continuously driving Polish export. We manage five widely recognisable fashion brands: Reserved, Cropp, House, Mohito i Sinsay. Learn about our history and milestones in our development.

  • 2021

    LPP opens stores in North Macedonia and launches online sales in Bulgaria

    LPP strengthens its position in South-Eastern Europe – a region offering high growth potential. In 2021, the company opened the stores of all five brands in North Macedonia and launched online sales in Bulgaria.

  • 2020

    TRANSFORMATION OF LPP INTO AN OMNICHANNEL ORGANIZATION

    The new commercial reality initiated far-reaching changes in LPP, giving a new direction to the company's business strategy for the post-pandemic times. The technological, logistic and sales transformation of the company, including the full integration of the company's sales channels, initiated a new business model of LPP as an omnichannel organization. At the same time, the Semper Simul Foundation, which is the majority shareholder of the company, took over the controlling stake of LPP, guaranteeing the lasting and stable management of the family business and the implementation of its strategy.

  • 2019

    LPP BRANDS MAKE A DEBUT IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA AND IN FINLAND

    LPP strengthens its position in the Balkans and launches the stores of its five brands in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Mohito, House and Cropp made their debut in late March, with the remaining LPP brands – Reserved and Sinsay – following in their footsteps the next month. In October, the company launched its 5 brand stores also in Finland. This is the 25th market on which LPP stores are present.

    LPP – A FAMILY-RUN COMPANY WITH FOUNDERS’ SHARES TRANSFERRED TO A FOUNDATION, debut in Slovenia, Israel and Kazakhstan

    The founders of the Company, in order to ensure its long-term continuity and avoid the fragmentation of LPP capital in the future, decided to establish a foundation and contribute their shares there.

    In the same year, LPP debuted on 3 new markets - in Slovenia, Israel and Kazakhstan – continuing its further expansion abroad.

  • 2017

    Debut of Reserved in the UK, Entering the markets: Belarus and Serbia

    LPP opened a Reserved salon in London. The store of approximately 3 thousand square is located on Oxford Street in the centre of London's West End. The debut of LPP’s flagship brand on one of the most prestigious shopping streets in the world is another step in the implementation of global strategy and an important step in the international expansion of the Polish company. In the same year we opened a Reserved, House and Cropp salons in Belarus and Reserved and Sinsay in Serbia.

  • 2016

    We are opening our thousandth store in Poland.

    With our 1,000th outlet opening in Poland, we also continue to develop Reserved in Germany. We focus on fast growth of e-commerce. In June, we opened our 1,000th outlet in Poland, and on 15 September in Munich, at the prestigious shopping strip Kaufingerstraße, we launched our flagship Reserved outlet with a full makeover and an area of nearly 3.5 thousand sq. m. We have also been dynamically developing our online sales channel. At the end of the second quarter of this year, online sales accounted for 4.3% of revenues in Poland and 2.7% of group sales. In Poland, all of our brands operate online shops. Reserved online shops also operate in Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania. By the end of 2016, we are planning to open online shops for our other brands (Cropp, House, Mohito and Sinsay) in those countries. In September, the company decided to stop developing the premium brand Tallinder, whose first shops opened in February 2016.

  • 2015

    Debut of RESERVED in the Middle East, further expansion in Germany

    In February, the RESERVED brand débuts in Egypt, and in April the first stores in Qatar and Kuwait are opened. In September, we welcomed our first customers in Saudi Arabia. On September 15, LPP opened its largest flagship RESERVED store in Stuttgart with the surface area of nearly 4 thousand square metres. By the end of the year, 12 stores of our largest brand will have been opened in Germany.

  • 2014

    LPP opens the first RESERVED stores in Germany, expansion of the group in Croatia

    The flagship Reserved brand enters the largest European market. At the end of the year, Reserved collection is available in four German cities, including Stuttgart, Hanover and Bremen. In October 2014, the stores of all LPP brands welcomed their first customers in Zagreb, Croatia. Initiation of works on establishing a new premium brand. In March 2014, the company advanced to the stock exchange index WIG20, which generates a significant part of the turnover on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, and since 2014 it has also been listed on the MSCI Poland index.

  • 2013

    debut of the new Sinsay brand on the market in Poland, Russia, the Czech Republic and Lithuania

    The first stores were open on March 2, 2013, and by the end of the year the entire network included 56 stores.

  • 2008

    LPP opens a modern Distribution Center and becomes the owner of the House and Mohito brands, expansion in Bulgaria

    LPP opens the Distribution Center with an area of over 30 thousand. m2, with a capacity of 30 400 pieces / hour. The center is able to simultaneously prepare orders for 876 LPP stores.

    In the same year, as a result of the merger with Artman, which is the owner of the House and Mohito brands, the Gdansk-based LPP company enlarges its portfolio by two more brands and becomes the largest clothing chain in Poland, the owner of Reserved, Cropp, Mohito and House.

    In 2008, LPP also debuted in Bulgaria, expanding the sales network in the region of Central and Eastern Europe.

  • 2007

    LPP wins the Romanian market

    LPP decides to increase the presence of its brands in Europe and debuts in the south of the continent.

  • 2005

    the Cropp brand is already present in Estonia, Slovakia and Latvia

    One year after Cropp’s debut on the Polish market, LPP decides to open the first stores of the brand abroad.

  • 2004

    the first store of the new Cropp brand is established in Poland

    The success of the Reserved brand in Poland and abroad contributed to reaching the objective which was to create a new brand in the group portfolio.

  • 2003

    RESERVED starts to be available in Lithuania, Ukraine and Slovakia

    The Company continues its expansion policy and and adds three more countries to its foreign markets portfolio.

  • 2002

    RESERVED expansion to Estonia, the Czech Republic, Russia, Hungary and Latvia

    LPP commences international expansion.

  • 2001

    LPP’s first listing on the Warsaw Stock Exchange

    The share price on the first day amounted to PLN 48.00.

  • 1998

    first RESERVED brand stores are established

    The owners decided to put on creating their own proprietary brand and building their own retail network. The first RESERVED stores, the brand that to this day remains a pillar of the LPP Group, were opened in 1998.

  • 1997

    official opening of the LPP office in Shanghai

    The office's employees are responsible, among other things, for finding suppliers, supporting various production stages and quality control.

  • 1995

    Mistral is transformed into the LPP company

    The company's name is derived from the first letters of the names of its founders: Jerzy Lubianiec, Marek Piechocki and Partners.

  • 1991

    Marek Piechocki and Jerzy Lubianiec establish the Mistral sp. z o.o. company.

    Partners trade in wholesale clothing.
