Working as a fashion designer
The work of a clothing designer at LPP begins with observing trends and customer behavior, and ends with a product that goes on sale in Poland and in many international markets. This role is for people who can quickly translate inspiration into concrete solutions – style, fabric, and details – and help create a collection that truly meets customers’ needs. Our specialists help create products for the Reserved, Cropp, House, Mohito, and Sinsay brands, available in over 40 countries worldwide.
As a designer at LPP, you make daily decisions that directly influence what ends up in our brands’ product offerings. In this role, you help create solutions tailored to customer needs and market realities. You work in design teams that make ongoing decisions regarding the product lineup. It’s an environment where speed, collaboration, and the ability to blend creativity with business requirements are key.
Our organization is constantly growing. Our extensive structure offers a variety of opportunities for growth. What sets us apart, however, is the lack of a corporate atmosphere. As a designer, you will work in expert teams of buyers, graphic designers, and apparel technologists.
We value our diversity, and friendly, supportive relationships are our top priority – we attract people with our projects, but we inspire them with our people. We create an environment that enables us to collaborate effectively, share knowledge, and make joint decisions about the product.

What is the job of a fashion designer?
A designer’s work follows a repetitive cycle of activities – from reviewing trends and sales figures, to developing product proposals, to making decisions about their implementation. Each stage requires collaboration with buyers, technologists, and suppliers, as well as adapting the product to current demand.
In addition, designers have the opportunity to take inspirational trips abroad. During these trips, employees visit trade shows to analyze the competition and draw inspiration from street style. Our designers stay up to date on trends by drawing on a variety of sources, including social media, competitors’ offerings, sales data, and interactions with suppliers.
Designers understand the value of teamwork. They work closely with buyers, graphic designers, and apparel technologists. It is with these specialists, among others, that they form expert teams tailored to a specific product line.
How can I become a designer?
Project teams are made up of people with diverse backgrounds and career paths. Some, like Łukasz Smoła – Senior Head Designer at Reserved – knew from the start that they would pursue a career in the fashion industry. Others decided to change careers. Iga Pniewska – a designer at Reserved – began her journey into the world of fashion as a business psychology graduate. For some, working as a designer’s assistant was also a good stepping stone to an independent career.
What are our requirements for fashion designer job applicants?
We’re looking for people who have a good sense of trends and can identify which ones are likely to resonate with customers and drive sales. In this role, it’s important to be able to quickly translate that direction into a specific product and develop it further within a collection. If you have experience in commercial design and have worked with products – from form and material to detail – you’ll fit right in here. It’s also important to be able to look at a design from a broader perspective: through the lens of sales results and what actually works in the market.
You’ll be working as part of a team on a daily basis, so it’s important to have a collaborative mindset and be willing to work together to find the best solutions. This is a fast-paced environment, so it’s helpful if you can act quickly without compromising the quality of your decisions. As for education, a degree in a related field is welcome but not required. What matters most is what you can already do and how you work with the product in practice.
- Proficiency in use of graphic software,
- Conversational level of English,
- Experience working with form, material, color, and detail,
- Readiness to start an office job as a designer in Gdańsk, Kraków or Warsaw (depending on the offer).
We are looking for people with potential. We are well aware that you cannot put every talent into a rigid CV framework. That is why we invite you to apply even if you do not meet all the above requirements. See you at LPP!
A portfolio is a key component of the candidate evaluation process. It should demonstrate the entire process: identifying a trend, defining the target audience, and making decisions regarding the product – its form, price, materials, and feasibility. What matters is an understanding of where a particular direction comes from and what its market rationale is. We’re looking for a portfolio that demonstrates your thought process – we want to see how you make decisions and translate trends into concrete product solutions.

- Head Designer at Reserved
I took part in a workshop that LPP organised at my university. I was offered a summer internship and after this my career snowballed. After my internship, I became an assistant in the jumper department. After some three months, I took part in the creation of a new brand. A career in our company is like stair stepping. I moved up the ladder gradually from assistant to senior designer. After 4 years I learnt about an opportunity to get the job of head designer. I was successful — I made it through our internal recruitment process. I became a head designer. After 2 years, I took part in an internal recruitment again and succeeded once more. I am where I am now — head designer of the Reserved line.
