The beginning of December brought an exceptional collection. Reserved invited Magda Mołek, a journalist and Youtuber, known not only for her top-notch work or excellent insight into the world of new media, but also for her original and inspiring style, to work on a collection together. The result of her collaboration with Reserved designers is a capsule that makes her vision of celebrating a special time together a reality. Elegant, yet comfortable. Finding a compromise between glamorous looks and casual vibe.
The collection was created with the pre-Christmas, Christmas and carnival season in mind. It is full of chic, festive looks, perfect to wear both during office meetings and celebrations with the family. The pieces showcased are the ones that the journalist herself would like to wear, her favorite cuts and solutions, such as the V neckline or pockets even in an elegant dress. All the clothes are both festive and practical, as comfort is a very important aspect for Magda. Relaxed cuts do not restrict movement, and fine materials add to chic styling.
The collection includes, among others, two suits (a velour one in a deep burgundy color and a viscose one with a shortened jacket cut), formal dresses, a coat with flared sleeves, a silk top or a shirt with a wide decorative cuff with buttons and a neck tie. It’s the details that matter – diagonal stitching or lace appliqués, creases at the cuffs, asymmetrical cuts, ribbons that can be tied in various ways. The shawl of the jacquard shirt is detachable, and can be worn as a scarf or headband. The jackets have been stripped of buttons, which gives them a more casual, non-formal feel. Magda is a fan of lingerie references, hence the satin sheen or lace elements of tops or dresses. A lace turtleneck, though bold, will take on a discreet sensuality when worn underneath a blazer.
Jacquards and jewellery elements were inspired by delicate feathers and picturesque patterns painted on the glass by frost. Hence the cool pastel shade of turquoise or the earrings and ring made of crystals resembling snowflakes. To spice up the styling – long leather gloves in an unusual light blue color or warm socks which Magda loves to combine with elegant footwear.
The colour palette gently refers to the holiday season, combining various shades of red with off-white. They are accompanied by pink (of varying intensity), cobalt blue, black and the already mentioned frosty turquoise. The materials used in the collection exemplify the principles of premium quality and Eco Aware. These include silk with 7% elastane, 70% wool with polyamide or LENZING™ ECOVERO™ viscose blend, which has an international EU Ecolabel certificate, confirming high environmental standards for production processes, from the very sourcing of the raw material to its distribution and disposal.
Magda Mołek x Reserved Capsule Collection is available from 6 December.
