LPP Group has decided to expand its Distribution Centre in Brześć Kujawski

The LPP Group’s Distribution Centre in Brześć Kujawski will be expanded with a new warehouse hall of 85,000 sqm. The increased operational capacity of the facility will therefore significantly support the Group’s expansion in the markets of Central and Southern Europe. The company responsible for the investment, LPP Logistics, which manages the supply and distribution network of the Polish clothing manufacturer, plans to start construction works in April this year. According to the approved schedule, the new hall will be put into operation in the first quarter of 2025.

Launched in 2022, the LPP Group Distribution Centre in the Brześć Kujawski Economic Zone currently covers an area of 75,000 sqm and employs around 700 people. Due to the planned development of the Gdansk-based company’s sales network in foreign markets, especially in central and southern Europe, and thus the need to increase the operational capacity of logistics, a decision was made to expand the warehouse hall in the Brześć facility to 160,000 sqm.

Expanding the sales reach of the LPP Group’s brands in Poland and abroad is a challenge that requires solid logistics facilities. The Distribution Centre in the municipality of Brześć Kujawski is one of the strategic points in the distribution and supply network managed by LPP Logistics. Hence, the expansion of warehouse space in this particular location will play an important role in the Group’s further growth. Thanks to the additional hall and proprietary solutions in the area of warehouse automation, we will increase the potential of the facility and effectively respond to the growing volumes of shipments. An important point in the planning of our logistics investments remains limiting their impact on the environment, which is why we will not omit such elements as BREEAM certification or the use of renewable energy sources to power the building when expanding the warehouse – says Sebastian Sołtys, President of LPP Logistics.

LPP’s established presence in the municipality of Brześć Kujawski for nearly five years, and thus its knowledge of the local environment and the positive attitude of the local authorities to the investment, is an important factor supporting the company’s decision to expand the existing warehouse hall.

We are pleased that the investment offer of our municipality has been met with a positive response by the LPP Group, all the more so, that after several years of operation, it has decided to further develop within the Brześć Kujawski Economic Zone. As representatives of the local authorities and residents of our municipality, not only do we appreciate the way in which the centre’s activity contributes to the further development of the region, but we also value the company’s commitment, unchanged for five years now, to the implementation of joint social and educational activities for the benefit of the youngest residents of the municipality – comments Tomasz Chymkowski, the Mayor of Brześć Kujawski.

The works related to the expansion of the centre will commence in April this year. According to the plan, the new warehouse space with a capacity of 117,000 pallet spaces is to be operational by March 2025. Thanks to the expansion, the total area of the facility managed by LPP Logistics, located in the Brześć Kujawski Economic Zone, will reach 160,000 sqm, providing a total of over 200,000 pallet spaces. Ultimately, the number of people working at the Distribution Centre will increase to nearly 1,500 employees.
